Experience

Creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless experience for attendees from the moment they arrive until they leave each session.

Experience Door Holders play a key role in setting the tone for an attendee's Passion experience. From greeting attendees and helping with line flow to assisting with seating and answering questions, this team creates a warm, helpful experience where every person feels seen, known, and cared for from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Hospitality

Creating a caring atmosphere for those who are serving. Hospitality sets the table and serves across the event.

Hospitality Door Holders help create welcoming and intentional spaces throughout the event, serving attendees, guests, and teams in a variety of ways.

Intercessors

Seeking the face of Jesus for this generation before/during/after the event.

Intercessor Door Holders faithfully cover every aspect of Passion in prayer, praying for attendees, teams, and all that God is doing throughout the gathering. This team helps create a foundation of prayer throughout the conference.

Logistics

Organizing the details that help our teams function smoothly.

Logistics Door Holders serve behind the scenes, helping with the practical details that keep Passion moving throughout the conference. From load-in and load-out to distributing meals, managing signage, and meeting needs as they arise, this team helps create the environment for everything that happens at Passion.

Registration

Providing an easy and seamless first experience as attendees arrive and enter the event.

Registration Door Holders are often the first faces attendees see and help set the tone for their Passion experience. From scanning tickets and distributing credentials to answering questions and providing direction, this team creates a smooth and welcoming arrival from the moment attendees walk through the doors.

Resources

Providing resources for students that allow them to continue to connect with what they see and hear throughout the event.

Resource Door Holders serve attendees at Resource locations by assisting with purchases, organizing inventory, and helping put Bibles, books, apparel, and other resources into the hands of a generation.

Ensuring the safety of our attendees and team.

Security Door Holders help create a safe and secure environment where attendees, guests, and teams can fully engage in all that God is doing.

The story behind the name

WHAT IS A
DOOR HOLDER?

We use the term “Door Holder” instead of the word “volunteer.” The term is borrowed from Psalm 84:10, which speaks of being a door keeper in the house of God. Door Holders at Passion 2027 are individuals who have experienced God’s glory and now want to hold the door to make a way for others to enter in. This is the heart and attitude we want our Door Holders to assume—one of service in preparing the way for others to have a powerful experience with Jesus.

Door Holder is a term that encompasses all who serve at Passion gatherings—not just those who literally hold physical doors! From those who are serving around the venue to those serving from the stage, we are all Door Holders.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be 25 years or over to serve.

Must be available to serve for the entire gathering—beginning with mandatory Door Holder meeting on day 1 and serving through Load-Out after the final session.

Travel, lodging, and other expenses are the responsibility of each Door Holder.

Please note that most Door Holder positions require the ability to stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time while serving.

WHO CAN APPLY TO BE A DOOR HOLDER AT PASSION 2027?

You may apply to be a Door Holder if you are 25 years old or over. For the gathering to be possible, we ask Door Holders to be available to serve throughout the entire gathering in various roles. If you are interested in becoming a Door Holder for Passion 2027, apply today!

CAN COLLEGE STUDENTS BE DOOR HOLDERS?

We want students to be able to fully experience the gathering. Door Holders work hard behind the scenes throughout the entire gathering, serving the students who are participating; therefore, we ask all students to attend Passion 2027.

CAN I APPLY TO SERVE AT BOTH PASSION 2027 LOCATIONS?

Yes. As long as you are able to serve for the entire gathering you are welcome to apply to serve at both Passion 2027 locations when you complete your Door Holder application.

HOW CAN I APPLY TO BE A DOOR HOLDER AT PASSION 2027?

The Passion 2027 Door Holder application is available here. Applications will begin to be processed in mid-summer.

DO DOOR HOLDERS NEED TO PURCHASE A TICKET?

No, if you plan to serve as a Door Holder, you will not need to purchase a ticket to serve at Passion 2027. However, Door Holders are responsible for their own travel expenses and meals, with the exception of lunch on Day 2, which will be provided for attendees and Door Holders.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR SERVING AS A DOOR HOLDER?

Your schedule for Passion 2027 will depend on your specific team assignment, which will be communicated by your Team Lead. However, you should be prepared to be available to serve through the entire gathering.

WHEN WILL I NEED TO ARRIVE AT PASSION 2027?

You will need to arrive in time for a mandatory Door Holder meeting which will take place early morning on Day 1.

WHEN WILL I BE RELEASED AFTER PASSION ENDS?

Door Holders will need to be available to serve through the end of Passion 2027 and for load-out following. Your Team Leads will release you once your load-out responsibilities are completed.

WHAT IF I AM ACCEPTED AS A DOOR HOLDER, BUT THEN UNABLE TO SERVE?

We realize that emergencies sometimes arise and alter your availability to serve. If you apply and later find out that you cannot serve, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can fill your position. Teams experience significant challenges if notice is not given, so the earlier you can let us know, the better.
